Mountain View Community Church began in 2003 in Bray, Co Wicklow, when a group of Christians from many different church traditions began meeting together under the leadership of Nigel & Louise Reid.

In 2009, we moved to the old St Paul’s Church on the Main Street in Bray, re-naming it ‘The Well’, refurbishing it, and bringing vibrant faith back to this old church building in the heart of the town. Then God spoke to us through many prophetic words about moving on, and we moved out of The Well in late 2014. We felt like Abraham who ‘went out, not knowing where he was going’ [Hebrews 11: 8]. For a season we focused on developing our community life, as we met in different ways and in different locations. Early in 2016 we moved into the East Wing of Powerscourt House to worship and pray for our land. Then in March 2018, we again moved on, following God’s leading to intercede in different locations, increasingly with an emphasis in Co Wicklow, but also praying for the nations.

Our common purpose is to know God and His life-changing presence, love and power, and our desire is that He would be known by those around us. God is on the move in Ireland and around the world and, like so many others, we are thrilled to be part of what He is doing! People are discovering that the answers to life are found in relationship with God. He is changing lives – bringing hope, healing and purpose in amazing ways. That’s good news!
